Group exhibition of the winning projects of the Young Creators Fellowship organized by the National Arts and Culture Fund

Next November 23rd will be the opening ceremony of the exhibition that gather together evidences of the concluded projects that were benefited by the fellowship and developed during 2017. Within the presented artworks, you’ll find some elements of my project “Blood machines” that was part of this program. The show will be at the San Luis Potosi Arts Center. 1st place winner of the 11th Puebla Biennial

I’m glad to share with you that last October 19th was the opening ceremony and award announcement of the eleventh edition of the Puebla Biennial organized by the Universidad Iberoamericana. My work in photography entitled “The tallest walls are made of information” was the winner of the first place- The exhibition will be up until December at the exhibitions hall of the University’s Library. Participation at the East Austin Studio Tour 2017

Participation within the activities of the “Night of the Museums” organized by the City of Buenos Aires

Next November 4th is going to be the “Night of the Museums” event at Buenos Aires, Argentina. Within the participant institutions is the Universidad de Belgrano that will be presenting a series of artworks from their permanent collection from within it is included a mobile sculpture a did for the school in 2005. Selected for the 2017 edition of the Miami New Media Festival

Touring presentation of the group exhibition “Soporte papel” at the Nuevo Laredo Cultural Center

Selected for the Bernardo Elosúa Prize

I would like to share with you that a piece of mine is among the works selected for the 2017 edition of the Bernardo Elosúa Prize organized by the Instituto Arte A. C. and the Berel Collection. The work is part of the series of medium format ink drawings on paper entitled "Dust Diamonds". The opening will be next Wednesday, August 16th at 8:00 p.m. I hope we will have the chance to see each other over there.

Exhibition within the Wine Festivities of Parras de la Fuente

Next Friday 11th and Saturday 12ve of August, will be presented a collective exhibition within the activities of the Harvest Festival of Parras de la Fuente. Among the selection of works are several pieces of mine spanning from ink drawing, to acrylic and steel sculptures. The event is offered by the Artífice Gallery and Casa Rivero González, and can be visited only during these days. I hope we will have the opportunity to catch up.

Selected for the Arts Territory Exchange program in London

Last July I was notified that my proposal was selected to be part of this year's Arts Territory Exchange program in London. The activities involve the collaboration between artists from different latitudes in the production of epistolary pieces, and the eventual exhibition of the results, as well as the edition of a printed publication. SSelected for the XI Biennial of Puebla

Next October 19th, will be the inauguration the eleventh edition of the Biennial of Art of Puebla at the Art Gallery of the Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. Opening of the new venue of the Alternativa Once Gallery

Everyone invited to the group exhibition that marks the opening of the new venue of the Alternativa Once Gallery now located in Río Orinoco 460, between Río Rosas and Gómez Morín. This is in the Colonia del Valle, within the municipality of San Pedro (C. P. 66220). The date is for Wednesday June 28th at 8:00 pm. Within the selection of pieces, I’ll be presenting live a project that derives in a composition for a string quartet entitled “Although the existence of phonological universals is well established, their source is contentious” (The execution of the piece will be at 10:00 pm). International Museum Day guided tour

Group exhibition at Old Rooster Gallery

This Thursday May 11th is going to be the celebration of the third anniversary of the Old Rooster Gallery. For this occasion, they are presenting a group exhibit in which I am participating with some drawings from the “By any chance” series, another one from the “Strings Attached” series and a cabinet from the project “Universal Hexagonal Fittings”. “Strings attached” presentation in Austin TX

I’ll like to share that next Friday 21st of April I’ll be presenting the project “Strings attached” that summarize my participation as invited artist for the Unlisted Projects Artist in Residence Program. The pieces, a series of drawings and an interactive sound installation, look for connections between architecture and music and are inspired in the live music scene of Austin. Selected for this year’s edition of the Artemergente National Biennial

I’ll like to share with you past February 27th were announced the selection of artworks for this year’s edition of the Artemergente National Biennial organized by the State Arts Council CONARTE. Within the finalis projects there is my sound installation “Something’s not OK”, which was recently presented at the Carrillo Gil Art Museum (CDMX) as part of the exhibition “Resonances from the Garden of the earthly Delights”. The award announcement and opening ceremony of the Biennial will be next March 30th, 7:30 pm, at the Nave Generadores (Interior of the Fundidora Park). I hope you can make it.

Next solo exhibition “Conflicts with the center of the earth” at the L'Alliance Française of Monterrey

Everyone invited next Thursday March 9th, 7:30 pm, for the opening of my solo exhibition “Conflicts with the Center of the Earth”. The show consists on a series of pieces and documentation of two main projects. The first of them is the machine that carries the same title of the exhibit and that was recently showcased as part of the selection of the XII FEMSA Biennial. In this occasion, it is accompanied by some extra materials and documentation that helps to get a closer look at the process and the functioning of the machine. The selection also includes a new piece of this series of machines, as well as the patent project “Universal Hexagonal Fittings” (Patent in process, expedient MX/u/2016/000430). The event will be hosted by the L'Alliance Française of Monterrey at their venue located in Humberto Lobo and Morones Prieto. I look forward to see you there.

Winner of the sculpture prize of the II Tec de Monterrey Art Biennial

Last November 16th was the Opening Ceremony and Award Announcement of the II Tec de Monterrey Art Biennial. The exhibition is hosted by the Arte A. C. Institute located at the Obispado. Within the three category prizes, one of my artworks won the one for sculpture. The awarded piece is a wood, acrylic, laser cut and brass sculpture part of the “Elevations” series. Winner of the Young Creators Fellowship by the Arts and Culture National Fund FONCA

Last August 31st the results for the 2017 period of the Young Creators Fellowship were announced by the National Arts Fund FONCA. I’m glad to share with you that I’m within the selected artist for this edition of the program. The project I’ll be developing during this year involves de fabrication of a series of machines that will be planted in the city to generate energy and communication dynamics. I’ll be sharing some updates of this project soon.

Participation Media Mix Festival

I’ll like to share with you the program of this year’s Media Mix Festival that will be happening at the Centro de las Artes (within Fundidora Park) from October 11th to 16th. Participation in the astronomy exhibit L. A. Moonwalk organized by Celestron in California

For those who happen to be around Pasadena these days, I’ll like to share with you that my project “Driving Forces” will be among the artworks exhibited within the event “L. A. Moonwalk” organized by Celestron. The event gathers together a program including an art exhibit, as well as conferences and observations. This occasion is particularly special because it marks the first collaboration and enclosure with Celestron, the brand of the telescopes I used for developing this project. Selected for the XII FEMSA Biennial

I’m glad to share the news that this week I was notified I am among those selected for the XII edition of the FEMSA Biennial. The call received a total of 3101 applications from within the 42 finalists were chosen, including a kinetic sculpture of my authorship. “Law of large numbers” Solo exhibition at Alterna Art Gallery in Mexico City

“Resonances from The Garden of Earthly Delights”,
sound art group exhibit in Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil (Mexico City)

I would like to share with you that next Friday, May the 13th the opening for the exhibition “Resonances from The Garden of Earthly Delights” will take place, a show that brings together the work of 15 Mexican sound artists. I will be participating with one of the “No hay Novedad” project machines and an installation titled: “Algo no está bien” developed specially for this occasion. The exhibit will be available until August the 14th.

solo exhibition at the Graduate School of the Tec de Monterrey Institute

Open invitation for everyone that can join us next Tuesday April 26th at 7:30pm for “The tip of the iceberg” exhibit opening, which will take place at the Graduate School of the Tec de Monterrey institute. The artwork selection is composed by seven drawings from different moments and a recent sculpture from the “Elevations” series. As former student, I take advantage of this opportunity to make a reflection about the benefits of multidisciplinarity and the arts as investigation. Upcoming group exhibit at Old Rooster Gallery

Exhibition in Venice of the project “Mexico-future-unwritten” by the Luciano Benetton Collection

Upcoming solo exhibition “Binnacle 150601 – 150630: Driving Forces” at the Alternativa Once Gallery

The show happens parallel and as a complement to the exhibition “Driving Forces” at the Carrillo Gil Museum of Art in Mexico City. There, the exhibition shows the machine “Driving Forces” generating drawings upon the movement of the sky. Here, the exhibit consist on the first 30 drawings generated by the machine so far, as well as a live feed of the cctv of the Museum in Mexico City showing the machine working in real time. The opening will be this Wednesday July 22nd at the Alternativa Once Gallery in Monterrey. I look forward to see you there:

Next solo show “Driving Forces” at the Carrillo Gil Museum of Art in Mexico City

Just to let you know the opening of the exhibit entitled “Driving Forces” will be next Saturday May 30th at the Carrillo Gil Museum of Art in Mexico City. The central piece, which has the same title, is a multidisciplinary project that involves elements of drawing, generative art, machinery design, astronomy and installation. Invitation for the closing Cocktail of the exhibition “Driving Forces”

Hello everyone, I’ll like to share with you the invitation for the cocktail we are organizing to wrap up this exhibit. The event will be next Wednesday February 25th at 8:00 pm in Vía 360 Cultural Center (Vía Cordillera, municipality of Santa Catarina).

Upcoming inauguration of solo exhibit “Driving Forces”

I’m glad to share with you the invitation of my solo exhibition “Driving forces” that will be opening next January 29th, 8:00 pm, at Vía 360 Cultural Center (Monterrey). Presentation event of the Colectivo Relevo initiative to the benefit of the Nuevo Amanecer Institute

Hello everyone, I’ll like to share with you next October 1st will be the presentation of Colectivo Relevo, an initiative that invite artists to develop projects in collaboration and to the benefit of the Nuevo Amanecer Institute. Within the projects supported by this platform is my proposal “Step by step” that consists in the development of electronic devices for exploring drawing within the activities of the institute’s workshops. Participation in Latin American Art Exhibition in Athens

A kind invitation for those who are planning to visit Athens to drop in and take a look at the Latin American Art exhibit in which I'm participating. Tampiquito Auditorium

Just to share with you the conclusion of the latest project developed by "Urban Impulse" an organization for which I'm a collaborator advocated to developing architectural and urban projects emphasizing promoting sustainability and communitarian practices. In this case, the project consist on a two phase remodeling of a public space within the Tampiquito neighborhood in Monterrey City, resulting on an outdoor covered auditorium made out of mainly recycled resources and with the support of the Tec de Monterrey institute.

Visual Arts Encounter in Chihuahua (MX)

Many thanks to the Cultural Institute of Chihuahua for the invitation to participate in the "Luis Y. Aragón" Visual Art Encounter last February. With the formidable "Paso del Norte" Cultural Center of Ciudad Juárez as our venue, I see this event as nothing less than a step forward in the promotion of culture and art exchanges as instruments for the reinforcement of a communitarian identity. An excellent experience not only for the event itself, but for having the opportunity to know the city and getting in touch with many other guests from northern Mexico.

First Place winner of the Saatchi Drawing showdown 2011

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to let you know I was part of the final round of the Drawing Showdown organized by the Saatchi Gallery in London. The call for entries received 2097 participants from all arond the world.

Last Thursday November 3rd I was happily surprised with the notification that my project "Black Diamonds" was awarded by the jury as the First Place Winner. As part of this announcement, this artwork will be soon exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Saatchi online Drawing Showdown announces their 30 finalists

Today were released the names of the 30 finalists for the definitive round of the Saatchi Online Drawing Showdown 2011. I'm very happy to let you know my project "Black Diamonds" is among those thirty finalists, selected from a total of 2097 participants from all around the world. The jury included Rebecca Wilson, Associate Director of the Saatchi Gallery in London and Louise Clarke, an artist/curator who gained her MA from the Royal College of Art. The winners of the first and second prize will be announced next November 3rd.

Official Selection for the "Reseña" of the State Arts Council (Monterrey, Méx.

I'll like to extend a kind invitation to drop in and take a look on the exhibition of the "Reseña" at the Casa de la Cultura. One of my ink drawings is within the selected works for this year's edition. The opening will be on Thursday August 11th (7:30pm) and is going to be available until November.

Official selection
8th Puebla de los Ángeles Biennial, Universidad Iberoamericana

I'm very happy to let you know the recent announcement of the selected works for the 8th Puebla de los Ángeles Biennial, organized by the Universidad Iberoamericana. They received a total of 300 entries and selected a list of 30 finalist, including my drawing "Now start…". The finalists will be part of an exhibition in the city of Puebla (MX) opening on October 14th, ceremony in which the winners of the first and second acquisition prices are going to be announced (let's cross our fingers J). The exhibition will be running until December
